Creating young owl scientists

St Peters Prep School For Girls, Paulshof, Johannesburg

After giving an educational owl talk on World Environment Day earlier this year, we visited St Peter's College again...this time to dissect owl pellets.

The girls were junior scientists for the day and investigated the owl pellets to see what owls eat. We found interesting information that will add value to our largest Owl Diet Database - the only one of it’s kind in Africa. These girls know better about the risk of secondary poisoning and also not to use rat poison.

#OwlsEatRatsWithout education, there can be no conservation.
